So the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! turned out to have major structural issues. Of the “there is nothing supporting 1/4 of the first floor’s floor” variety. The sellers offered us a $75K discount on the $230K offer in an attempt to get us to buy it, which told me everything I needed to know about how much of a disaster the house was.
So we are getting our deposit back, and actually went to an open house today and are putting in an offer bright and early Monday morning.
The new place has a good sized garage in good shape. I asked if the pristine late-70s Nova Concourse that has been clearly sitting in the garage for a while was included, but sadly is doesn’t go with the house.

Jeez that sucks but definitely good not to make that mistake! Good luck.

Definitely dodged a bullet on that one. Hopefully the next find is less likely to fall down around you.
